Radiohead - Box Set - 7 Albums.
The English alternative rock band Radiohead have released nine studio albums, one live album, four compilation albums, one remix album, nine video albums, six EPs, 31 singles and 39 music videos. Their debut studio album, Pablo Honey, released in February 1993, peaked at number 22 in the United Kingdom, receiving platinum certifications in the UK and US.[1][2] Its debut single, 'Creep', is Radiohead's most successful single, entering the top ten in several countries. Radiohead's second studio album, The Bends, released in March 1995, peaked at number four in the UK, where it was certified three-times platinum.[1]
OK Computer, Radiohead's third studio album, was released in June 1997. It became their most successful album, peaking at number one in the United Kingdom and Ireland and reaching the top ten in several other countries.[3][4] It was certified triple platinum and produced the UK top ten hits 'Paranoid Android', 'Karma Police' and 'No Surprises'.[1][5]Kid A followed in October 2000, topping the charts in the UK and becoming first number-one Radiohead album on the United States Billboard 200.[3][6]Amnesiac was released in June 2001, topping the UK charts and producing successful singles including 'Pyramid Song' and 'Knives Out'. Hail to the Thief was released in June 2003, ending the group's contract with EMI. It was the band's fourth consecutive UK number-one album and was certified platinum.[1][3]
Radiohead released their seventh studio album, In Rainbows, in October 2007 as a download for which customers could set their own price; a conventional retail release soon followed. It sold more than three million copies in one year. Four singles were released, including 'Nude', Radiohead's first top-40 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 since 'Creep'.[7] Radiohead self-released their eighth studio album The King of Limbs in February 2011. It peaked at number seven in the UK, ending their streak of number-one albums there.[3]
In April 2016, following the purchase of EMI by Universal Music, Radiohead's back catalogue was transferred to XL Recordings, who had released the retail editions of In Rainbows and The King of Limbs.[8] Radiohead self-released their ninth studio album,A Moon Shaped Pool, in May 2016,[9] backed by the singles 'Burn the Witch'[10] and 'Daydreaming'.[9] In June 2017, Radiohead and XL released a twentieth-anniversary OK Computer reissue, OK Computer OKNOTOK 1997 2017, including unreleased tracks,[11] two of which were released as download singles: 'I Promise' and 'Man of War'.[12][13] In June 2019, several hours of recordings made by Radiohead during the OK Computer period leaked online; in response, the band made the recordings available to purchase online as MiniDiscs [Hacked], with all proceeds to the environmentalist group Extinction Rebellion.[14]
